CONCLUSION:
The City of Coral Gables recently unveiled the "Umbrella Sky Project," which now hovers over its newly renovated Giralda Plaza streetscape. The installation was designed by Sextafeira, a creative agency, with the purpose of producing shade over public spaces during the summer months to encourage more pedestrian activity.
I ask for the City Commission to explore adding an artistic shade structure over Rue Vendome, so the plaza can be better activated during the day. I am also open to exploring other locations throughout the City of Miami Beach.
