| | Referral to the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee to discuss the review and revision of the City's Investment Policy. Administration requests that this item be heard at the next available meeting, which is on May 18, 2018, as it is time-sensitive. |

| Florida Statutes Chapter 280 requires that all local governmental entities within the State of Florida adopt an investment policy governing the authorized investment and the procedures for such investments
The City's investment advisors, Public Trust Advisors, continuously work with City Administration to refine investment strategies and assist in ensuring the fiscally responsible and prudent investment of all City funds. Recent recommendations have been made to modify the existing Investment Policy that will assist the City in maintaining a strong portfolio of investments as well as update the language and terminology to conform the policy to current government industry best practices.
