A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH TO ACCEPT DONATIONS FROM T-MOBILE USA, INC., AND HOTWIRE COMMUNICATIONS LLC., IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $15,000, FOR THE CITY'S ANNUAL MIAMI BEACH YOUTH MUSIC FESTIVAL, TO BE HELD ON MARCH 17, 2018, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO MAKE SUCH EXPENDITURES OR REIMBURSEMENTS CONSISTENT WITH THE AFORESTATED EVENT AND PURPOSE.

On March 17, 2018, the City of Miami Beach (“City”), in partnership with The Rhythm Foundation, will host its annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival. The Miami Beach Youth Music Festival will include a variety of musical acts performed by students.

City staff has secured donations and sponsorships in the total amount of $15,000, for the City’s annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival, from T-Mobile USA, Inc., and Hotwire Communications LLC.

The City Administration recommends that the City Commission authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to accept donations and sponsorships from T-Mobile USA, Inc., and Hotwire Communications LLC., in the total amount of $15,000, to provide funding for the City’s annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival, to be held on March 17, 2018, and authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to make such expenditures or reimbursements consistent with the aforestated event and purpose.
