Please place on the March 7, 2018 Commission Agenda, for the second time, an item regarding the Deauville Beach Resort. I am deeply disturbed as we stand by and watch one of our most precious historic resources deteriorate. 

I would like a report detailing:

1. Why the owners have closed it?
2. The financial impact the closure is having on the surrounding commercial district.
3. With power off throughout the building, do the fire safety alarms and sprinklers work? If not, is the building vulnerable to arson? The Fire Department needs to inspect the entire building. There is a potential risk not only for the building, but also for Firefighters if a fire were to occur.
4. What action is the Administration going to take?
