COMMITTEE MEMORANDUM
HISTORY:On September 25, 2017, the Mayor and Commission referred a discussion item to the Neighborhood and Community Affairs Committee (NCAC) regarding parking discounts for residents who do not have a mobile/smartphone.
ANALYSIS:A survey conducted by Pew Research Center (see attached) indicates a super majority (95% in December 2016) of adults across all demographic lines own at least a cell phone (see attachment entitled Pew Mobile Phone Fact Sheet) . Please refer to the attachment for alternative solutions.
