| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND/HISTORY
| I write to you today to request for the City of Miami Beach to sponsor the upcoming 2024 Biscayne Bay Marine Health Summit, to be held on May 20, 2024, at Jungle Island. This summit represents a critical opportunity for our community to come together and address the pressing issues surrounding the health and sustainability of Biscayne Bay.
As stewards of our environment, it is imperative that we take proactive steps to preserve the natural resources that make Miami Beach such a unique and vibrant place to live. The Biscayne Bay Marine Health Summit serves as a platform for stakeholders from various sectors to collaborate on strategies for protecting and restoring the health of our bay.
With an anticipated attendance of 500 people, this summit will attract a diverse array of individuals, including scientists, government officials, business leaders, and members of the community. As such, it presents an ideal opportunity for the City of Miami Beach to demonstrate its commitment to environmental stewardship and engage with key stakeholders on this important issue. I am specifically requesting sponsorship at the Sea Grass level, which requires a contribution of $5,000. As a Sea Grass sponsor, the City of Miami Beach would receive:
- Name / logo featured on materials (Medium font / logo)
- Track Sponsorship and branding (Science, Government, Business, Community track) – OR – 10 Scholarship tickets
- Opportunity to introduce a speaker / panel conversation during a breakout session
- Consideration for a representative on panel conversation (if appropriate)
- Name, Company, Title of all Attendees, and on request, email and phone for 25 specific individuals
- 2 Summit Passes
- Add on Exhibitor Package for $250
By sponsoring the Biscayne Bay Marine Health Summit at the Sea Grass level, the City of Miami Beach would not only demonstrate its commitment to environmental sustainability but also gain valuable exposure and networking opportunities within the community. I urge my fellow Commissioners to consider this sponsorship request and support our efforts to protect and preserve Biscayne Bay for future generations. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of our city. |
