A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE IN-KIND DONATION OF SEVENTEEN (17) EVENT ADMISSION TICKETS FROM AXON ENTERPRISE, INC., HAVING A TOTAL VALUE OF $14,433, FOR USE BY THE MIAMI BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT AND OTHER CITY DEPARTMENTS TO ATTEND THE AXON WEEK 2024 CONFERENCE ON PUBLIC SAFETY AND TECHNOLOGY TO BE HELD AT THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER.

Axon Enterprise, Inc. will be hosting Axon Week - a combination of two annual Axon taser and technology training conferences into one large international event - at the Miami Beach Convention Center from April 22 to April 26.  As such, the company would like to provide the City of Miami Beach with 17 event tickets each with a value of $849 for a total of $14,433.  The tickets would allow personnel from departments utilizing Axon technology to attend at no additional cost to the City.

The Miami Beach Police Department would encourage the City Commission to consider the Resolution and accept Axon Enterprise's donation of 17 conference admission tickets for the technological and strategic benefit of the City.
