HISTORY
On November 9, 2016, at the request of Commissioner Michael Grieco, the City Commission referred this item to the Land Use and Development Committee (Item C4E). On December 12, 2016 the Land Use Committee discussed the item and recommended that the City Commission refer a rezoning ordinance and comprehensive plan amendment to the Planning Board for consideration.
PLANNING ANALYSIS
The proposed ordinance and comprehensive plan amendment would re-zone the west side of the 600 block of Washington Avenue from the current RM-2, Residential Multi-Family Medium Intensity to CD-2, Commercial Medium Intensity. The re-zoning was requested by a property owner in the 600 block of Washington Avenue, in order to be able to have more flexibility with future accessory uses.
