FROM:Commissioner Steven Meiner
DATE:April  6, 2022

SUBJECT:REFERRAL TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY AND NEIGHBORHOOD QUALITY OF LIFE COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS LIMITING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS AND NEIGHBORHOODS DURING HIGH IMPACT PERIODS.

ANALYSIS

Please place on the April 6, 2022 agenda a referral to the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee to discuss various options pertaining to more robust restrictions on non-resident vehicular traffic on residential streets and neighborhoods during high impact periods and events.

As part of the referral, I would request that the City Administration be prepared to address at the committee meeting a plan for a more robust effort to limit vehicular traffic on residential streets during high impact periods and events, and identify any additional tools or needs including, but not limited to, private security and barricades, in order to implement such plan.
