SUBJECT:	REFERRAL TO THE LAND USE AND SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 122 OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS TO WAIVE OR EXEMPT AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND WORKFORCE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FROM THE CITY’S MOBILITY FEE.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

Chapter 122 of the Land Development Regulations establishes a mobility fee for new development and changes of use.

I would like the Committee to discuss whether the City Commission should amend Chapter 122, to waive or exempt affordable and workforce housing from the City’s mobility fee, in order to incentivize new affordable and workforce housing development in the City of Miami Beach.
