SUBJECT:	APPOINTMENT OF MAYOR MATTI HERRERA BOWER AS A COMMISSIONER TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF MIAMI BEACH.

RECOMMENDATION

Approve Mayor Dan Gelber's appointment of Mayor Matti Herrera Bower as a Commissioner to the Housing Authority of Miami Beach.

ANALYSIS

Pursuant to Florida Statute §421.05, the Mayor appoints Commissioners to the Housing Authority, with the approval of the governing body.

In accordance with Florida Statute § 421.05, I am designating Mayor Matti Herrera Bower as a Commissioner to the Housing Authority of Miami Beach. I am confident that Mayor Bower, with her strong commitment to community service as well as her extensive public service experience, will be an asset to the Housing Authority of Miami Beach.

CONCLUSION

I am hereby requesting the approval of the City Commission to my appointment of Mayor Matti Herrera Bower as a Commissioner to the Housing Authority of Miami Beach.
