| SUBJECT: | A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING IN SUBSTANTIAL FORM, AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH’S SPECIAL EVENTS REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES TO CREATE A SECTION ENTITLED, “TEMPORARY POP-UP BUSINESS PERMIT” TO ESTABLISH A PROCESS FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL FOR TEMPORARY POP-UP BUSINESS PERMITS AND TO ALLOW BUSINESSES TO ESTABLISH TEMPORARY POP-UP STORES IN CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER THROUGH HIS TOURISM AND CULTURE DEPARTMENT AND THE CITY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE TO FINALIZE THE GUIDELINES AND THE APPLICATION FOR IMMEDIATE IMPLEMENTATION. |

| Pursuant to the request of Mayor Dan Gelber, the above-referenced Resolution is submitted for consideration by the City Commission at the February 13, 2019 Commission meeting.
The Resolution will be submitted via the Supplemental Agenda. |
