A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH TO ACCEPT DONATIONS FROM T-MOBILE USA, INC, AND GETAROUND, INC, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $3,500, FOR THE CITY'S WINTER WONDERLAND EVENT, TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 14, 2018, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO MAKE SUCH EXPENDITURES OR REIMBURSEMENTS CONSISTENT WITH THE AFORESTATED EVENT AND PURPOSE.

On December 14, 2018, the City of Miami Beach (“City”) Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Winter Wonderland event. Held at North Shore Park, the event invites the public to enjoy a snow village with a visit by Santa Clause, dance performances, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa actvities, a tree lighting ceremony, rides, games, music, and more.

City staff has secured donations, in the total amount of $3,500, for the City’s annual Winter Wonderland event from T-Mobile USA, Inc. and Getaround, Inc.

The Administration recommends that the City Commission retroactively approve and authorize the City’s acceptance of the donations from T-Mobile USA, Inc. and Getaround, Inc., in the total amount of $3,500, to provide funding for the City’s annual Winter Wonderland event, to be held on December 14, 2018, and authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to make such expenditures or reimbursements consistent with the aforestated event and purpose.
