Based on discussion held during the October 15, 2018 Bayshore HOA meeting, I respectfully request a discussion item to be heard before noon at our upcoming October 17, 2018 City Commission Meeting on the current road surface condition of Prairie Avenue.

We have a number of steps to complete prior to performing the permanent road conditioning associated with the final Neighborhood Improvement Project for Central Bayshore, including: the award of the Blue/Green infrastructure engineering consultant, the negotiation of the rate sheet, the determination and negotiation of their specific initial scope of work and the execution of that work, the possible rebidding of the project itself and the subsequent design and construction of same.

I believe it is a reasonable estimate to say that all of those steps could take two years which is a long time to leave Prairie Avenue in the condition that it is in. Let’s discuss near term resurfacing options.
