Please place as a discussion item on the October 17, 2018 Commission Agenda, as to the following:

Should all future stormwater pump stations be designed by a licensed State of Florida professional civil engineer and require using injection wells to:

1.     Receive and dispose nutrients and chemical pollutants transported by runoff water from the right-of-way and private properties.

2.     Receive and dispose chemical pollutants present on ground water that ended on the storm water drainage system via infiltration.

As part of this discussion item, I would like to discuss the success and failures of current projects where injection wells have been used and not used.  Should you need any additional information, please feel free to contact Diana Fontani at Ext 6722.
