ANALYSIS:
The proposed location for the installation of the drinking fountain (Exhibit A) is adjacent to the open field space at Polo Park (the “Park”). The field is frequently used throughout the day by residents and the children who attend Nautilus Middle School, which is adjacent to the Park.
Currently, the Park has a drinking fountain by the softball field and the playground, but not one in the open field area. The addition of the drinking fountain will prove beneficial as the City’s baseball program expands to Polo Park. The total cost for the purchase and installation of a new chilled drinking fountain (option A) is $29,500; if un-chilled, the cost is $15,500 (option B).
