SUBJECT:A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, WAIVING, BY 5/7TH VOTE, THE REQUIREMENT IN SECTION 2-14(D)(1)(A) OF THE CITY CODE, TO REFER ANY AGENDA ITEM IN EXCESS OF $75,000 TO A COMMISSION COMMITTEE FOR A RECOMMENDATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A NEW FUNDING AGREEMENT, BETWEEN THE CITY AND UNIDAD OF MIAMI BEACH, INC., EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2025, TO PARTIALLY FUND THE CURRENT LEVEL OF PARTICIPATION IN THE SENIOR MEALS PROGRAM (180 PARTICIPANTS) OFFERED AT THE NORTH BEACH SENIOR CENTER, LOCATED AT 7251 COLLINS AVENUE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $230,000 PER YEAR, ON A RECURRING BASIS, THROUGH FISCAL YEAR 2029-2030, SUBJECT TO FUNDING APPROPRIATION AND APPROVAL BY THE CITY COMMISSION DURING THE BUDGETARY PROCESS FOR EACH FISCAL YEAR, UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, AND PROVIDED THAT ANY REMAINING UNUSED CITY FUNDS WOULD BE COMMITTED BY THE CITY FOR ELDER PROGRAMMING AT THE SENIOR CENTER.
