DISCUSS WEAPONS DETECTION SYSTEMS AT ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ESTABLISHMENTS. 


HISTORY:

At the June 28, 2023 City Commission meeting, at the request of Commissioner Fernandez, the Mayor and City Commission approved a referral to the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee (“PSNQLC” or “Committee”) to discuss weapons detection systems at alcoholic beverage establishments.

The item was discussed at the July 12, 2023 PSNQLC and slated to return in September 2023.

ANALYSIS

The City Attorney's Office is prepared to discuss this item during the Committee meeting with input from the Police Department.
