I have been receiving some troubling feedback from residents living in the West Avenue community regarding pedestrian safety, vehicular speeds, and overall traffic flow along West Avenue. I would like us to explore various traffic calming options along West Avenue for the benefit of the West Avenue neighborhood, with the goal of enhancing safety, promoting pedestrian-friendly environments, and addressing concerns related to speed mitigation.
As part of this discussion, I would like the City Administration to be prepared to present an overview of the current traffic conditions along West Avenue, including vehicular speeds, pedestrian usage, assessment of the safety of existing crosswalks and pedestrian infrastructure along West Avenue, and any reported safety concerns. |
