Please place on the Commission Meeting agenda a discussion on the recently adopted camping ordinance.  

On October 18, 2023, the City Commission enacted an amendment to the City’s Camping Ordinance that incorporated the terms of the nearly identical City of Orlando camping ordinance, which was upheld by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Joel v. City of Orlando, 232 F.3d 1353 (11th Cir. 2000). The amended Camping Ordinance became effective ten days following enactment, on October 28, 2023. I would like the City Manager to provide an update on the training and enforcement rollout for the new Ordinance.
