Hello Commissioner,
Based on the PreK Scholarship 24-25 lottery results, we have 19 families on the PreK Scholarship wait list. As such, we would need $10,000 from FY24 to cover the months of August 2024 and September 2024 for those 19 families and the remainder of the scholarship to be added to the FY25 budget guaranteed as an enhancement. The current allocation for the PreK Scholarship is 158 scholarships. An increase in the number of scholarships is $3,000 per child. |
