| | | | | | | | HISTORY:
| | On July 19, 2023, at the request of Commissioner Ricky Arriola, the City Commission referred the proposal (C4 R) to the Land Use and Sustainability Committee (LUSC). |

| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS:
| As noted in the attached referral memo, the owner of the property at the northeast corner of Dade Boulevard and Alton Road has been working to develop a signature project, worthy of its location. Due to limitations with the current zoning, the sponsor has requested that the LUSC discuss a proposal for a small overlay district that would encourage a quality project with a desired mix of uses and explore how the project may be beneficial to the City.
A representative of the property owner has indicated that they will be making a presentation to the LUSC, with more information on the proposal. If there is consensus on moving forward with any necessary amendments to the Land Development Regulations of the City Code (LDRs), a separate referral by the City Commission to the Planning Board would be required.
