| SUBJECT: | DISCUSSION REGARDING HOW TO DEFINE THOSE AREAS OF THE BEACHWALK INTENDED TO PROVIDE A CLEAR PEDESTRIAN PATHWAY FOR INGRESS AND EGRESS TO THE BEACH. |
|
| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS
| Pursuant to the request of the sponsor, Commissioner Alex Fernandez, the City Administration and City Attorney’s Office are prepared to provide an update and discuss options regarding how to best define and identify those areas of the Beachwalk intended to provide a clear pedestrian pathway for ingress and egress to the beach. In addition to providing access to the beach, the Beachwalk is also a heavily utilized, shared-use pedestrian and bicycle pathway, which heavy usage further limits access to and from the beach when people are continuously loitering in these beach access areas on and around the Beachwalk. |
