| | | | | | | | HISTORY:
| On September 14, 2022, the City Commission approved a referral to the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee, requesting that the Administration provide an update as to the timeline for the Ocean Terrace Redevelopment Project and why there has been no activity on the project to date. On January 11 and March 22, 2023, the Committee heard updates and discussed the status of the project. The Committee moved to keep this item on the agenda in order to obtain regular progress updates. |

| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS
| On January 3, 2023, the Building Department, as well as City departments, provided comments and requests for additional information, subsequent to a resubmittal of permit drawings to the Building Department by the developer.
The developer has been working closely with City staff to address all comments prior to resubmittal of the permit drawings, with the intent and purpose of resolving all concerns and obtaining permits expeditiously. It should be noted that certain elements of this project require technical coordination which have complicated the engineering of some of the items. At the March 22, 2023 Committee meeting, City staff reported that several items requiring resolution remained pending. At this time, resolution to all pending items have been identified. The developer anticipates that required revisions will be completed prior to the end of this month (June). Given this timeframe, City staff expects the permits to be issued by the end of July, and construction to commence within 60 days of permit issuance.
