| | SUBJECT: | DISCUSSION REGARDING DRUG SALES ALONG THE BEACHWALK. |
|
| | | | | | | | HISTORY:
| Commissioner Kristen Rosen Gonzalez placed a referral to the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee (PSNQLC) on the February 1, 2023, City Commission Meeting agenda to discuss narcotic sales occurring on the Beachwalk. |
| | |
| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS
| The Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD) has had a low volume of narcotic-related calls for service on the Beachwalk. MBPD conducts details in several "hotspots" to help deter criminal activity by utilizing our undercover teams, RDA officers and Park Rangers in these areas. To further enhance our visibility, the Department also implemented directed patrols on the Beachwalk using our Reserve Officers.
|
| | |
| | | | | | | | CONCLUSION: The Department will continue to use all available resources, including local, state, and federal agencies, to assist in narcotic-related investigations throughout our City.
