| I ask the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee and City staff to explore organizing an event inspired by Park City, Utah's "Savor the Summit" to take place on Miami Beach's iconic Ocean Drive in partnership with the Ocean Drive Association. The event would aim to bring residents and families back to the area while showcasing the culinary talents of our local restaurants. With a diverse array of dining establishments, Miami Beach is well-positioned to host a successful and vibrant event that celebrates our unique culinary scene and fosters a sense of community.
The Miami Beach edition of "Savor the Summit" could involve local restaurants setting up tables along a designated stretch of Ocean Drive, offering attendees the opportunity to taste various dishes and enjoy a communal dining experience. This event could also incorporate live music, art displays, and entertainment to create a festive atmosphere that appeals to residents and families of all ages. By highlighting the culinary excellence of our local restaurants, this event would serve to boost their visibility and foster positive engagement with the community.
