SUBJECT:A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A CITY POLICY GOAL RELATING TO THE TIMEFRAMES FOR THE FINAL ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS, AS FOLLOWS: TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE, (1) FINAL RESIDENTIAL BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE APPROVED OR DENIED NOT LATER THAN NINETY (90) DAYS FOLLOWING SUBMITTAL OF A COMPLETED PERMIT APPLICATION, OR EARLIER, IF REQUIRED BY LAW; AND (2) FINAL COMMERCIAL BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE APPROVED OR DENIED NOT LATER THAN ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY (120) DAYS FOLLOWING SUBMITTAL OF A COMPLETED PERMIT APPLICATION, OR EARLIER, IF REQUIRED BY LAW; FURTHER, PROVIDING THAT THE FOREGOING TIMEFRAMES SHALL BE USED TO GUIDE THE CITY’S ON-GOING EFFORTS TO STREAMLINE THE PERMIT REVIEW PROCESS.
