| Commissioner Meiner placed a referral to the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee (PSNQLC) on the June 22, 2022 City Commission Meeting agenda to discuss Police and Code Enforcement calls for service and associated public safety concerns at hotels and hostels located in residential neighborhoods. |

| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS
| An analysis and query of Police and Code Compliance related calls for service were conducted covering the time from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022. Below is a breakdown of hotels and hostels located south of Dade Boulevard.
Fifteen hostels were identified south of Dade Boulevard. Eight of the fifteen hostels (53%) are located within the ADCD. One hostel was identified within the West Avenue Neighborhood Association (WAVNA) and another within the South of Fifth Neighborhood Association (SOFNA) located at 235 Washington Avenue but is temporarily closed.
