SUBJECT:	REFERRAL TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY AND NEIGHBORHOOD QUALITY OF LIFE COMMITTEE FOR AN UPDATE ON THE EXPANSION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE, SPECIFICALLY LEVEL 3.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

On January 20, 2022, the Miami Beach City Commission adopted Resolution 2022-32000 directing the City Administration to evaluate opportunities and develop a plan to expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure throughout the City, including potential locations for additional charging stations, and estimated costs of installation and maintenance.

I would like to for the City Administration to provide a memo in the Committee agenda providing an update on the progress made since the adoption of the resolution, providing a timeline for next steps, and ways to potentially expedite the installation of electric charging stations in the City.
