The attached Resolution formally adopts the Certificate of results of the November 8, 2022 Miami Beach Special Election to Fill the Vacancy in City Commission Group II. No candidate having received a majority of the votes cast as required by Sec. 2.01 of the City Charter, a Run-Off Election will be held on December 6, 2022, as authorized by City Resolution 2022-32260 and City Ordinance 2022-4507.
The Run-Off Election results for City Commissioner Group II will be adopted by the Miami Beach City Commission on December 12, 2022, followed by the newly-elected official’s swearing-in.
The Unofficial Results of the General Election are attached. (See Page 008.) Upon receipt of the Official Certificate of Election, the results will be attached to the Resolution and made part of the public record.
