Referral to the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee, to Discuss the Creation of a Quality Control Board for the Auditioning and Selection of Street Performers.

Please place on the July 20, 2022 agenda a referral to the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee to discuss the creation and installation of a Quality Control Board to determine the suitability of street performers, based upon auditions for the Board, in lieu of the lottery system presently in place.

As part of the referral, I would request that the City Administration be prepared to address at the PSNQLC Committee meeting the various aspects surrounding the implementation of a Quality Control Board for the City’s street performer selection process including, but not limited to, any criteria for such selection and permitting process, along with any outstanding issues or concerns.
