SUBJECT:DISCUSSION REGARDING THE ENFORCEMENT/RESTRICTIONS ON PROFANE/OBSCENE MUSIC IN PUBLIC SPACES.

HISTORY:

At the July 28, 2021 Commission meeting, the Discussion Regarding The Enforcement/Restrictions On Profane/Obscene Music In Public Spaces was referred to the Neighborhood and Quality of Life Committee (NQLC) for discussion.  The direction given to Code at the NQLC meeting on September 20, 2021, was to return to the committee with updated information on regulating the loudness of the music.  

 

 As directed at a previous meeting of the NQLC, Code was in the process of researching and testing the use of noise meters to assist in the enforcement of noise  That discussion is now scheduled for the April 27, 2022 meeting of the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee.
