At the October 13, 2021 Commission meeting, a discussion item regarding the Rhythm Foundation Gala Fundraiser sponsorship request was referred to the October 22, 2021 Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee (“FERC”) meeting.

Attached to the item is a letter from former City Commissioner and current Rhythm Foundation Board Member, John Aleman. On behalf of the organization, the former City Commissioner has requested that the City donate a round of golf for four, for both of the City of Miami Beach golf courses. The certificates are for the Rhythm Foundation’s first-ever gala to be held at the North Beach Bandshell on November 11, 2021. The rounds of golf will be auctioned off during the gala to support the Foundation’s year-round cultural programs.

The issuance of these two gift certificates for a round of golf for four at both golf courses requires approval from the City Commission. Both gift certificates total a combined maximum value of $1,448.00.
