SUBJECT:	REFERRAL TO THE FINANCE AND ECONOMIC RESILIENCY COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH COMMITTEE FOR QUALITY EDUCATION’S MOTION REQUESTING THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION PROVIDE ANNUAL FUNDING UP TO $30,000 TO THE MIAMI BEACH ROCK ENSEMBLE WITH YOUNG MUSICIANS UNITE.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

At the Committee for Quality Education September 28, 2021 meeting, the following motion was made:

Members Present: Mary Keinath , Joshua Levy, Elisheva Rogoff, Judith Berson-Levinson, Tiffany Heckler, Karen Edelstein, Rachel Weissman, Beverly Heller, Beth Edwards, Yvette Tache, and Lauren Cantor

The Committee for Quality Education requests the Mayor and City Commission refer funding of the Miami Beach Rock Ensemble with Young Musicians Unite to the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee for further discussion and consideration for annual funding up to $30,000. The Committee for Quality Education urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request.
