Style Saves is a Miami Based 501(c) nonprofit organization who is seeking use of the Miami Beach Convention Center as an event space for their 10th annual back-to-school event. Every year, about 10,000 students from Miami Dade Public Schools, homeless shelters, foster care, and numerous other organizations receive uniforms, backpacks, school supplies and more for the upcoming school year.

This year, Style Saves is looking for a location to hold their event because their usual location (Mana Wynwood) is under renovation. The event is August 14-15, but they would require use of the space August 12-16 to allow for set-up and clean up.

I have spoken to Style Saves and made it clear that this request is solely to waive the rental fees of the Miami Beach Convention Center. All hard costs (including parking fees due to our bond covenants) must be paid for by the organization, including any deposits as may be necessary.
