SUBJECT:	REFERRAL TO THE LAND USE AND SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE CONCERNING THE RESIDENT SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE'S MOTION URGING THE CITY TO WORK WITH FDOT AND THE COUNTY TO LEAD A SHORELINE RESTORATION PROJECT ALONG THE JULIA TUTTLE CAUSEWAY.

ANALYSIS

The Sustainability committee asked that the Commission discuss and explore their motion below that passed June 24, 2021 (attached):

"The Sustainability Committee urges the Mayor and City Commission to engage with leadership from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in Q3 - 2021 to seek approval for the City and County to lead a shoreline restoration project along the Julia Tuttle Causeway with mangroves and other enhancements."
