The naming of businesses has a direct impact on the City’s branding and the image the City portrays to the world. Residents have voiced concerns that several businesses are using names and/or signage that are detrimental to the branding of Miami Beach. Offensive trade names influence and could even incite the misbehavior we are observing within our community.
The purpose of this item is to explore any available options to either prohibit explicit names or promote brand-enriching names that help market Miami Beach as a high-end destination to live or visit.
