Miami Beach is world-renowned for its natural beauty and Art Deco architecture. The City’s resiliency projects require the placement of publicly exposed infrastructure. Therefore, this item aims to explore ways to beautify infrastructure through local artists.

The concept has been attempted in the past, but it encountered challenges in reaching a consensus from various owners of the infrastructure – such as Florida Power & Light, the State of Florida, and others. Improving the infrastructure’s aesthetic character will increase the Quality of Life for our residents while also allowing local artists to share their art with the public. The City has already conducted a similar project to infrastructure on 3rd Street and Washington Avenue with great success.
