COMMISSION MEMORANDUM |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | TO: | Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission | | FROM: | Commissioner Steven Meiner | | DATE: | May 12, 2021 | | |
| SUBJECT: | DISCUSS, AND TAKE ACTION IF NECESSARY, THE OPTION TO INCORPORATE HYBRID COMMISSION MEETINGS ALLOWING FOR REMOTE RESIDENT COMMENT. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS
| As the City Commission returns to normalcy, the City of Miami Beach will need to decide how that new normal will look. The purpose of this item is to discuss the retention of the public’s option to call in via phone or Zoom during items allowing for public comment and Sutnick Hour. Allowing for a hybrid format will increase the representation of our residents and their ability to have their voices heard in our legislative process.
