Spring Break 2021 challenged the City of Miami Beach in many ways. Filled with more visitors than projected, the city's police department and other operations personnel were overwhelmed. With Memorial Day weekend next month, this item asks for City staff to present to the City Commission its current Memorial Day Weekend plans and current lessons learned from this year's Spring Break that might help manage other high impact periods, including Spring Break 2022.

This item also asks that City staff directly address the Black Affairs Advisory Committee recommendations on how the city can better handle high impact weekends (attached).
