COMMISSION MEMORANDUM |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | TO: | Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission | | FROM: | Raul J. Aguila, Interim City Manager | | DATE: | April 21, 2021 | | |
| SUBJECT: | REFERRAL TO THE FINANCE AND ECONOMIC RESILIENCY COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS VESTED EMPLOYEES THAT HAVE BEEN REHIRED. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
| The Administration recommends approving a referral to the Finance & Economic Resiliency Committee to review and discuss vested employees that left the organization and have subsequently been rehired. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS
| The Administration has identified six employees that separated from the City after fully vesting in Tier B, that have later rejoined the City in Tier C. Once vested in Tier C, these employees would have two different pensions that would begin on two different retirement dates, Tier B at age 55 and Tier C at age 62. This proposal would review the cost to consolidate the two pensions into one under Tier B. |
