| The Urban Forestry Master Plan (“Plan”) requires the reduction of palm trees from its current density of 57% to 25%. Miami Beach is an iconic City, strategically marketed towards among other things beaches and tropical palm tree scenery. This item aims to discuss the economic consequences of significantly reducing the City’s percentage of palm trees in Miami Beach.
