SUBJECT:	REFERRAL TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND QUALITY OF LIFE COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIRTUAL SCHOOL TOURS TO PROMOTE THE MIAMI BEACH K-12 EDUCATION SYSTEM TO FAMILIES CONSIDERING A MOVE TO MIAMI BEACH.

ANALYSIS

The COVID-19 pandemic limits the opportunities for potential new residents to learn about the education system in Miami Beach. This item aims to discuss the possibility of aiding schools in creating virtual tours for potential new residents. It also creates the opportunity for Youth Commissioners who have gone through the Miami Beach school system to share their experiences and knowledge.

This is supported by a motion made by the Committee for Quality of Education at its February 23, 2021 meeting.
