| SUBJECT: | REFERRAL TO THE LAND USE AND SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE (TO BE HEARD AT ITS MARCH 24, 2021 MEETING) AND PLANNING BOARD RELATING TO PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO RETAIL FULFILLMENT CENTERS. |

| At the request of Commissioner David Richardson, the attached draft amendments to the Land Development Regulations have been placed on the March 17, 2021 City Commission meeting agenda, as a referral to the Land Use and Sustainability Committee (to be heard at its meeting on March 24, 2021) and the Planning Board.
The proposal includes the following amendments:
1. Create a definition of “retail fulfillment center”;
2. List retail fulfillment centers as a permitted use in the CD-2 and CD-3 districts; and
3. Amend the Art Deco / MiMo Overlay regulations to limit the number of retail fulfillment centers within the Overlay, and create a distance separation requirement. |
