| SUBJECT: | REFERRAL TO THE FEBRUARY 19, 2021 FINANCE AND ECONOMIC RESILIENCY COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS ADDING A FUNDING SOURCE TO THE BAYSHORE PARK PROJECT (FORMERLY THE PAR 3) FOR UTILITY WORK. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
| The Administration recommends approving the referral to the Finance and Resiliency Committee to discuss adding a funding source for utility work needed for the Bayshore Park project. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND/HISTORY
| The Public Works Department is working on the Bayshore Park Project, which consists of extensive park renovations including a new water feature, new tennis courts, and other landscaping improvements. These proposed new installations conflict with existing utilities that must be relocated. Such utility relocation was not budgeted as part of the original project and therefore the funding source for utility relocation needs to be discussed. |

| | | | | | | | SUPPORTING SURVEY DATA
| Results from the 2019 Resident Survey regarding Satisfaction with Perceptions of the City show that 47% of residents rated City efforts to plan for growth as very satisfied/satisfied. In order to continue maintaining excellent standards in this area, the Administration is considering requesting an additional funding source to complete utility work for the Bayshore Park Project. |
