SUBJECT:	DISCUSSION REGARDING THE ENFORCEMENT OF BEACHFRONT CONCESSIONAIRES UTILIZING 100% REUSABLE WARES.

ANALYSIS

On October 16, 2019, the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach (the “City”) adopted Resolution 2019-31017, requiring all beachfront concessionaires and their third-party concession operators to utilize 100% reusable wares, including tableware, serving dishes/containers, condiments, plates, bowls, hot and cold cups, and flatware.

Due to the current state and increase in COVID-19 cases, the Administration seeks direction from the Mayor and Commissioners in enforcing the above ordinance.
