On July 29, 2020, the City Commission approved a resolution directing the Administration to create a database of LGBT firms certified by the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The resolution also requires the Administration to track the usage of the LGBT certified business in the procurement of goods and services for the City.
In keeping with the City’s commitment to equity and inclusion, I am referring a discussion to the Finance and Economic Resiliency Committee on expanding the database and tracking efforts to include small and disadvantaged firms as certified by Miami-Dade County.
