| At its July 29, 2020 City Commission meeting, Florida Power and Light (FPL) described an upcoming Alton-Venetian Substation and Underground Transmission Line Project, which will enhance the reliability and resilience of the electric grid for customers in Miami Beach.
At the end of the discussion, a motion was made to have FPL present the details of the project at the Neighborhood and Quality of Life Committee (NQLC). |

| The FPL Project entails the construction of a new substation (new Alton Substation) on 4th Street between Michigan Avenue and Lenox Avenue, and installation of a new underground transmission line between Terminal Island, South of Fifth, and Sunset Harbour. Attached is an FPL fact sheet describing the project. FPL will be making a presentation. |
