| SUBJECT: | DISCUSS FUNDING ARTISTIC PAINTING OF THE MID-BEACH WATER TANKS |
|
| | | | | | | | HISTORY:
| Temporary artistic installations have been demonstrated to provide the opportunity for creative place making while helping inspire and providing perspective no matter what the subject at hand.
|
| | |
| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS:
| The process for creating and/or acquiring a temporary artistic installation requires a review by the Miami Beach Art In Public Places Committee with a budget and if recommended, a Call to Artist.
The North Beach Water Tanks, by Nice'n Easy cost $50,000. The entire process from Call to Artists to completion was seven months. See attachment. |
