- The National Association of City Transportation Officials has issued a list of practices for cities to respond to Covid-19.
- One practice involves reprogramming pedestrian crosswalks so no one has to touch a potentially contaminated high touchpoint button to get a “walk” signal to cross a street.
- Providence, Rhode Island, Asheville, North Carolina, and Brookline and Cambridge, Massachusetts, are all in the process of implementing this program.
